“I’ve read your book, it all makes sense … I think I need your help”. This was the email I received from Wendy, a member of the senior leadership team at Royal Mail.

Wendy, had remained static in her role at RM for many years whilst she prioritised her children. However, once they had both flown the nest, her boss, Mike, began to push her to strive to reach her full potential. With his support, Wendy has progressed through the ranks in the last 5 years into her 50’s until she reached a key juncture which was triggered by a significant increase in responsibility and a change of boss. Wendy is a perfect coaching
candidate, she has the right attitude, wants to continuously develop and is completely open minded.

Just 2 coaching sessions and some personal profiling were enough to enable Wendy to stand back and look at things more objectively. She was able to recognise the changes she needed to make in building the new relationship, and found the confidence to drive her own agenda.

Maya was at a key juncture in life and career and sought a coaching session with me after she’d attended one of my workshops. Maya is definitely a focused woman. After this 1 session, Maya had acknowledged what she really wanted to achieve and went off to realise aspirations she had been thrashing around with in her head for a while. This led to a new addition to the family and a move back from industry into professional practice. Not
surprisingly, Maya always energises other women at events I facilitate.

Sandrine, a scientist, hit a key juncture when she realised that actually she was no longer enjoying her job. Her relationship with her employer had changed and she no longer felt she was able to perform to her best potential, deliver full value for the business and progress. She just needed a little bit of help to understand why.

Two coaching sessions helped her to realise that her role had drifted outside her core strength, so she had become a ‘square peg in a round hole’. Once Sandrine understood that she is a sales person by nature and therefore needed the customer contact to thrive, it all made sense and she could see why she would never have succeeded in the role she had drifted to. Coaching helped to increase her confidence and self belief and with similar levels
of enthusiasm and conviction to those of Maya, she left our second session fired up to make a move.

Sue, a partner in a global firm, comes to see me at key junctures which have so far included a promotion and facilitation of an all male panel in a live stage setting. Sue and I have worked together on how she presents herself to her best advantage. One-off sessions in each instance to explore how to achieve clarity of message and maximum visual impact have given Sue the confidence to execute her challenges with great success.
Wendy, Maya, Sandrine and Sue’s experiences illustrate how impactful and empowering coaching can be in a short burst when you know how to use it.

I’m always happy to meet for a chat over a coffee (07747 456351).
